Welcome to Greenthoughts Garden! I believe that the freshness and potency of the herbs in my products sets them apart from other companies. The products I offer are lovingly crafted in small batches from the hand-raised herbs that I raise, process and store myself, ensuring their potency. I harvest a fresh supply every year, dry them quickly in a controlled environment, and store them whole in glass containers which helps to preserve their medicinal qualities. Only when preparing to add them to a recipe do I grind them up, releasing their properties into the products. Furthermore, I never use harsh chemical additives, artificial fragrances, dyes or any animal byproducts that can irritate skin or contaminate our water supply. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the difference this makes in my products!

About Our Soaps:

I make all my soaps from wholesome raw ingredients that are nourishing to your skin~ a blend of olive, soy & coconut oils, cocoa butter, local beeswax, vitamin E, pure essential oils & LOTS of my own hand~raised or ethically wildcrafted herbs. This is the the base for all of my products, it is simple, effective, has a long shelf life and easily absorbs the healing properties from the herbs. I use the cold~process method of making soap, so I can add herbs or my herbal infused oils at each step of the process. I weigh each ingredient carefully, making sure to have more oils than lye, so each batch is "superfatted", meaning it is a mild soap and can soften the skin by holding in internal moisture. The handmade soaps also contain glycerin, which is naturally produced during the combination of lye~water to oils. This acts as a humectant which attracts moisture, also helping to keep your skin soft.

Your skin absorbs everything you put on it. Soap is something we use every single day, usually more than once. Make sure what your body absorbs is going to do it some good! That is why I enjoy the added benefits of the herbs & essential oils in my soaps, balms & oils, letting their subtle yet positive energies work their magic. What a wonderful and easy way to incorporate herbs into your daily life!
